How to Kick Yourself in CS2 | Explained
Whether you’re tilting or something important comes up, sometimes you want to get out of a CS2 match without receiving penalties. This step-by-step guide explains how to kick yourself in CS2.
How to Kick Yourself in CS2
Follow these instructions to kick yourself in CS2.
- Open the CS2 console with the tilde key (~) on your keyboard. If you’ve not already enabled the console, you’ll need to do that by going to your settings, clicking the “Game” tab at the top and then the second “Game” tab under the first, and finally selecting “Yes” next to the “Enable Developer Console (~)” setting.
- Enter the command “status” (without the parenthesis) into the console. In the status information, find the “id” in the same row as your name (shown in the image below).
- Call a vote to kick yourself by entering the command “callvote kick [your_id]“. Replace “[your_id]” with the “id” you found in the same row as your name in step 2.
After completing the steps above, you should see a popup called for a vote to kick you. Teammates can vote to kick you by pressing “F1” on their keyboard or vote not to kick you by pressing “F2”. If it gets enough votes, you will be booted from the match.
Asking Other Players To Vote To Kick You
If you don’t want to use the CS2 console, you could ask other players on your team to call a vote to kick you. They can do this using the UI by pressing the Escape (ESC) key on their keyboard, clicking “Call vote“, clicking “Kick Player“, and then selecting your name in the popup that lists their teammates.
